Understanding the Problem
To design for domestic violence survivors, I needed to understand their goals and challenges in depth. I conducted interviews and surveys to hear directly from survivors, experts, and non-profits.

During this project, I learned the importance of prioritizing user simplicity over feature richness. While version 1.0 incorporated extensive stakeholder insights, it resulted in user confusion during testing. I also realized that my assumptions about what users would like in the interface were wrong and I didn't test them early on. This taught me the importance of keeping things simple and testing ideas as I go.
